Tree removal in ChampionsGate, FL

Galapagos removes trees near ChampionsGate pool cages and lanais without dropping them: we rig and lower each section away from the screen, haul the debris and leave the deck guest-ready. Before we start, we confirm community approval, which county’s rules apply and whether the tree is yours or the course’s.

Protecting screens and decks

Pool enclosures are easy to damage. We rig and lower sections away from the cage instead of dropping them, lay protection over pavers where pieces land, and keep the pool clear of sawdust and leaves.

HOA and county check

Confirm association approval, and we’ll confirm which county’s rules apply to the removal and any replanting — ChampionsGate’s ZIP code crosses the Osceola–Polk line. Under Florida law (s. 163.045), a residential tree documented as an unacceptable risk by an ISA-certified arborist or a Florida-licensed landscape architect needs no local permit; association rules still apply.

Yours, or the course’s?

Trees between a home and a fairway may belong to the golf course or the community, not the homeowner. Your survey shows the line. If the tree is on course or common property, its owner handles it; we can still prune what overhangs your side if the association allows.

When a storm drops a limb on a rental

NOAA puts the peak of hurricane season around September 10, with most activity from mid-August to mid-October. If a storm drops a limb across a ChampionsGate drive or into the pool cage, guest safety comes first: we clear the entry and the deck so the house can be used, photograph the damage for you and your insurer, and come back for the rest of the tree. A cage panel torn by a branch is a job for a screen-enclosure company; we document it and leave the frame alone.

Questions about tree removal

Can you remove a tree that hangs over my pool cage?

Yes. Each section is tied off and lowered away from the screen. If a panel is already damaged, we photograph it before we start.

A tree on the golf course drops debris in my pool. Can you remove it?

Not without the owner’s permission. Contact the course or your association; with their OK we can trim what overhangs your lot.

Will the work interrupt my bookings?

We schedule it on a vacant day and leave the deck and pool clean, with photos so you can confirm before the next check-in.

A storm left a limb on my rental’s drive. Can you come before the next check-in?

Call or text us with the address and a photo. After a storm we clear access first — the drive, the entry and the pool deck — and schedule the rest of the removal for a later visit.

Do I have to grind the stump?

No, but a stump near a deck is a trip hazard for guests and blocks replanting. Grinding is a separate option on the quote, done after a Sunshine 811 locate.
