Why do windows here get spotted so fast?

Three reasons, mostly. Sprinklers that reach the glass leave mineral spots that harden in the sun. Spring pollen and summer storms coat screens and sills. And homes near construction, which in fast-growing areas like Four Corners and Davenport is common, pick up a film of dust. Ordinary cleaning moves those spots around instead of removing them.

How often?

Many homeowners clean windows once or twice a year; vacation rentals usually more often, because guests notice smudged sliders and spotted glass in photos and in person. Window cleaning fits well on a quarterly schedule with pressure washing.

Stop the spots at the source

If one side of the house always looks worse, check the sprinkler heads. Heads that spray the walls and glass waste water and put the spots back after every cleaning. Our irrigation service can adjust or replace them.

Before photos, listings and guests

Clean glass shows up in listing photos and in the first walk through a rental. If you’re selling, schedule window cleaning after any painting or pressure washing and a few days before the photographer comes. For rentals, the sliders to the pool and the front door glass are the first things guests touch and the first things they notice.

Inside the house

Interior glass is cleaned with the same care for floors and furniture as a house cleaning visit, and the two can be done the same day.
