Why carpets wear faster here

Sand is the main reason. Central Florida soil is sandy, and it comes in on shoes and pool feet and works down into the carpet fibers, where it grinds them every time someone walks over it. Add humidity and a carpet that never fully dries out after spills, and rooms can start to smell musty. Vacuuming removes the surface dirt; a deep clean reaches what’s underneath.

What’s included?

• a walk-through to note stains, wear and anything that may not come out,
• pre-treatment of high-traffic paths and spots,
• deep cleaning of the carpet and area rugs you choose,
• spot treatment where the stain allows it.

Some stains, like old pet stains, bleach spots or dye transfer, can’t always be removed. We’ll tell you before we start which ones we expect to lighten and which ones we don’t.

Area rugs, stairs and furniture

Tell us about area rugs, stairs and any rooms with heavy furniture when you ask for a quote. Stairs take longer than open floor, and furniture that has to stay in place limits how much carpet we can reach. Delicate or hand-made rugs may need a specialist; we’ll say so if we see one.

After the cleaning

Keep foot traffic light until the carpet is dry, and run the air conditioning or ceiling fans to help it dry faster in humid months. Put furniture back once the carpet is dry to the touch.

How often?

It depends on traffic, pets and whether the home is a rental. Busy rentals usually need it more often than a home with one or two people; ask us and we’ll suggest a schedule based on how the rooms look.
